Senate Bill 1524

Passage of Senate Bill 1524, creating a tax incentive for employer apprenticeships is one step in the right direction to expansion and diversification of establishing skills.
This legislation creates a further provision to encourage employers to hire at least half of those apprentices to be either, veterans, military spouses, aged-out foster youth, women. A further provision, of this policy’s merit-based categories for the sales tax refund encourages the employer incentive be with apprentices hired in technology, emerging fields and in rural communities.
